our experiences

Staying at Marataba Founders & Explorers is all about balancing safari adventure and conservation with a generous dose of fun – and plenty of relaxation too. All guests enjoy a private vehicle and dedicated guide allowing for maximum flexibility and ‘mix and match’ activities during a stay. From tracking wildlife to ice-cold G&Ts at sunset, counting elephants to laidback boat trips on the Matlabas, your Marataba experience is entirely up to you.

Our two camps are Founders, and Explorers. From the intimate and serene setting of Founders to the relaxed, easygoing nature of Explorers, both offer a unique opportunity to enjoy the wild spaces of Marataba and spend time with family and friends.
